Helena Marešová studied genetics of microorganism at Faculty of Sciences Charles University, Prague and received Master degree RNDr. in 1988. From 1996 holds PhD in Microbiology from The Institute of Microbiology v.v.i, CAS Prague and works until now at the same Institute. In the years 1989-2015 was employed in the Laboratory of Enzyme Technology and since 2015 she is a part of the Laboratory of Molecular Structure Characterization. The main research areas are molecular genetics and microbiology, cloning and heterologous expression of structural genes, optimisation of fermentation strategy, bioprospecting of nature isolates. She is teaching practical course in Recombinant microorganisms in biotechnology at Faculty of Sciences Charles University, Prague.
