Lenka Minichová, PhD, completed her Master’s degree in Zoology at Comenius University in 2011, followed by a PhD in Microbiology in 2015, where she focused her research on vector-borne pathogens. During her doctoral studies, she worked at the Department of Rickettsiology at the Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where she continued her research. Currently, she employs an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to explore how the tick immune system can control the persistence and transmission of pathogens.
